Hope Mediation was set up in 2004 in response to an increase in demand for peer mediation training, support and supervision and mediation for other types of family relationship problems and disputes where family breakup was not the issue. Carol has worked with children and families for over 35 years and has been involved in the field of mediation since 1991. She is an experienced accredited Family Mediator and Practice Supervisor with Family Mediation Services on a freelance basis.
Carol works part time for the Scottish Mediation Network.
She also works for the Equalities Mediation Service and Common Ground ASN Mediation.
She was formerly a governor of the UK College of Family Mediators and a member of the Professional Practice Standards Committee for three years.
Carol is a freelance trainer with 'Leap' Confronting Conflict. Carol provides training for contact center staff and volunteers.
More recently Carol has been working on an individual basis with children and young people who have additional support needs to provide coaching on specific issues like social skills and behaviour problems.
Carol provides courses on managing conflict and has experience of working with adults with drug and alcohol addictions.
Carol has an enhanced disclosure with Disclosure Scotland and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
